Claire
Ang
Copywriter
Scribbling short poems inspired by Lang Leav since her secondary school days, Claire believes that her writing has come a long way since then, even getting a poem about chicken rice published during her university days.
Her stint in advertising first began at the peak of COVID - a fresh graduate trapped at home with aimless days and a worrying bank account balance. That was when she decided she would use her writing to get that bread, and perhaps even blow some minds while she is at it.
Experience
2021 - Present
Currently a copywriter at DDB Group Singapore, I have chalked up experience writing for various platforms and clients. Being a part of several pitch teams has also given me the opportunity to push my creative boundaries.
2020 - 2021
Previously a copywriter at The M Makers, my day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualising social media content, writing captions, and Google Search Ad Copies. When pitches come in, I play a crucial part in the ideation process as well.
2018 - 2019
I was an editorial intern at SilverKris, under INK Publishing. I mainly helped with the curation and uploading of content on their online site, as well as the fact-checking of articles.
2016 - 2017
I was an editorial intern at Shape Magazine, under Singapore Press Holdings. I wrote content for both their print and online platforms, and curated posts for their Instagram as well. After my 4 months internship, I continued as a freelance writer.
